WORK IN PROGRESS

This unhinged little number concerns a guy who took a cartwheel down a flight of stairs, opened his wrist in the process and ended up in the psych ward known locally as Tower Ten, he wakes up with a convict haircut, missing a tooth, his “suicide” slice healed, he thinks Tower Ten might be the perfect place to get started on that novel. I’ll be posting chapters as I write them so you can check back every couple of days see if there’s a new one or you can subscribe and I’ll send you a quick jab as chapters are posted. This is the only part of the site where you can comment so tell me what you think. Anything you’d change? Any suggestions? I’m listening…

Always a work in progress. Holding this one close for now.

HERE ARE some nice things people said about SOME OF THE STORIES…

Your writing changes people. I'm always different at the end of your work than at the beginning. The way you come to let one sentence flow into the next like a kind of invisible interior webbing on which you hang everything. This is a drop dead gorgeous piece of work. — JS

Well. That was a remarkable read!  — AC

This is astonishing. Really superb, and hilarious and joyful.  — PC

I love this. Those giant unwieldy sentences all bumper to bumper are perfect.   — LD

I am repeatedly astonished that Sherry Cassells does not have a selection of books for sale. Is there something terribly wrong in the short-story publishing world?   — MC

DO YOU THINK TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION?
